WHEREAS, the Baha'is of Coppell are engaged in promoting the oneness of humanity through community building activities, service to others, collaborative action, concord, understanding; and 

WHEREAS, the Baha'i Faith is a global religion founded by Baha'u'llah, whose message is meant to inspire, transform, unite, foster peace and prosperity and, in His words promises: "So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth;" and 

WHEREAS, in 2017, the Baha'i Community celebrates the 200th anniversary of the Birth of Baha'u'llah and the founding of the Baha'i Faith's message of unity and service to humanity; and

Coppell, TX, October, 21, 2017 — Baha’is of Coppell are preparing to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, on October 21, 2017.

Plans underway include music, sacred writings, and lunch at the William T. Cozby Public Library.

Bahá’u’lláh (1817-1892) was a spiritual teacher Who announced in 1863 that He was the bearer of a new revelation from God. His teachings have spread around the world, forming the basis of a process of social transformation and community building which is unique in its global scope and the diversity of participants.

On Sunday September 17th, members of the Baha'i community in Coppell had a devotional breakfast at the Wellington Place apartments in Coppell. Many families joined the effort and they all prayed for the unity of all mankind. It was a very spiritual and happy gathering.

For the second time, the Baha'i community in Coppell invited everyone to join in a special meeting to pray for our First Responders as a thank you for their service and all their efforts to keep us safe.

Members of the Coppell Baha'i community joined the Coppell police in their event, "Coffee with a Cop", and expressed their appreciation for  the services provided by the Coppell Police. They also learned how to stay safe in the community.

The Coppell Baha'i Community started a new initiative to invite people from all religions to unite in praying for America. It was a beautiful and very spiritual meeting. 

September 10, 2009

The Coppell Baha’i community participated in the local Adopt-a-Location litter removal program for 15 years until it was discontinued by the city.  It was part of a national and international effort which began right here in Texas in 1985. We were one of more than 3,800 participating groups across the state who helped to clean and beautify their local communities.
